Western Kentucky University in December 1987.

Do you have any advice for recent accounting graduates or anyone taking the CPA exam?

Take it as soon as possible.

What led you to your current career path? Did you always know you wanted to be a CPA?

I came here in 1975 as a typist and they taught me payroll and bookkeeping. Then I wanted to be an accountant, so I went back to school.

How many years have you worked for Taylor, Polson & Company CPAs? Why did you join?

I've been here for 48 years.

What's your favorite part about working for Taylor, Polson & Company?

The people and puzzle-solving.

Do you have a favorite memory working at Taylor, Polson & Company?

There are too many to name.

What is one thing you wish people knew about your job?

It is way more than income tax preparation.

Tell us about your family

Married, 2 grown sons, 3 grandsons, 2 wonderful daughters-in-law, and 2 sisters.

What is your hometown? Have you lived in other cities?

Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. I've lived in Glasgow for 48 years.

What was your first ever job? Any unusual or interesting jobs in your past?

The shoe department at Topps Discount Store. I also worked temporarily as security for VP of Porter Paint Company in Louisville for two and a half days.

What are your hobbies/interests?

Reading and word/jigsaw puzzles.
