Our legacy began in 1963 with the visionary leadership of John Montague Taylor, an honors graduate in Business Accounting from Western Kentucky University. John was more than a skilled CPA; he was a man of integrity, dedication, and unwavering commitment to his community. His sense of humor and generosity laid the foundation for the values that continue to define our firm today.
In 1965, John partnered with Hubert Gregory to establish Gregory, Taylor & Rutledge in the heart of Glasgow, Kentucky. Our roots are deeply intertwined with this community, marking the beginning of our rich journey. The firm evolved with the addition of Freddie Polson, who joined as a partner upon his return from serving in Vietnam. Over the years, the partnership transitioned through dynamic phases, eventually adopting the name Taylor, Polson & Company after Hubert Gregory's retirement.
Today, under the leadership of current owners and partners, Tag Taylor, Jeff Carter, and Belinda Coulter, we steadfastly carry forward the legacy of our founders. This legacy is enriched by the involvement of John's children, Tag Taylor and Sara Taylor, as well as his granddaughter, ensuring our firm remains a family-oriented enterprise. Together, we are dedicated to upholding the principles of trust and excellence that have guided us for over 60 years.
